Cisco FireWall IOS vs. PIX

Howdy

I'm sure there are a lot of people that have a big experience with
Cisco FireWall IOS Cisco and PIX FireWall. And what I really need is
the knowledge about general differences between these Cisco's SW.
(about IOS - I'm interested in that IOS for 7xxx routers)

Is the PIX more powerful ? I hope yes, but how much ?
Which one is the more useful, stable, DDoS thoughtful ?

Could somebody tell me details (as full as possible) ?
