I'm sorry, I don't know milter. Quickly looking at the web site
makes me wonder if it's only working together with sendmail?
Whereas CVP can possibly be used with other MTAs and even other
protocols, e.g., HTTP.

On the other side, CVP is a performance bottleneck, especially
for large sites. Maybe milter gives you better performance.
