Hi There An alternative to encrypting modems are serial link encryptors. There a 'Black Box' that sit between a modem and a host and provide encryption for any off the shelf external modem. Cylink carries a line of serial link encryptors from personal models to very large dial-in modem pools. Do be forwarned... There unit costs are usually in the three significant digit range.... HI, Please excuse me as this is not directly related to firewalls - rather encrypting modems. Can anyone mention a dial up encrypting modem please? I saw on the web a company called modemplus and also know about gretag coders for leased lines. There is a need to transfer a relatively small file from PC to PC via 2 encrypting modems. thanks for any names and prices, Arjo
