Re: DUO Authentication with Hardware-Tokens usage size.

We also are in the process of outsourcing purchase of tokens to our bookstore. We have an internal process in place
for clients to request their hardware token be registered by our help desk. So, the bookstore will manage the stock
and sales and our IT helpdesk will do the registration still.
We do make them pay for lost tokens and also tokens that they somehow damaged. A free replacement requires them to
bring in the old token so we can determine why it's not working - usually a battery problem if not self-inflicted (like
they drove over it or something!)

We initially provided tokens (from InfoSec) but after the initial handout, we outsourced that function to the bookstore
where individuals or departments can purchase them.

For the folks who provide the tokens, what happens when someone loses it? Do you make them pay for a replacement or do
you just replace it for them?

Thanks!

We have about 1% of our population of 10,000 users who use them.

It is interesting though, of the students who needed it 100% was because of old incompatible phones. Of the
staff/faculty 90% was because of privacy concerns.

I think it is very telling of our changing customer base (generational).

I am just curious to know the percentage (%) of users that utilize the hardware-token as a method of authentication in
your DUO MFA environment. We have some users who already presented reluctance to install DUO in their personal cell
phones as we are deploying DUO MFA in our network.

Thank you for any information you can provide,
