Colleagues, Earlier this year, we implemented Okta MFA for students, faculty, and staff. We are currently having discussions on whether to require students to use MFA with the Learning Management System (LMS). Faculty are worried about equity issues by requiring a second factor, such as using their cell phones. They are also concerned about students leveraging and blaming technology for not completing their assigned work. Part of the issue is Okta does not allow alternate email as a second factor. How did you handle MFA with LMS? Do you require MFA for the LMS? Thank you, Amin Kassem, MSIT Chief Information Officer (CIO) Parkland College 2400 W.
