Our police department used to go around putting "Got ya" tags on unsecured hardware.

While eating lunch at the cafeteria this afternoon, a colleague and I noticed several phones, key chains, laptops were 
left unattended at tables by faculty, staff and students as they went through the food lines.

Can anyone share guidelines/practices in place for addressing and correcting physical security lapses on your campus?
