With the way the web is moving, I don't think this linear growth is sustainable. What solutions are in place and recommended among small to medium institutions for managing SSL certificates? Convince the powers that be to join InCommon ( http://www.incommon.org/about.html ). Member services include unlimited ssl certs. While there are membership fees, you could issue unlimited certs to your college at no cost, including EV certs, 3 year certs and more.
