Vernon Schryver once pointed out that sending email with a MIME format of
multipart/alternative consisting of a text/plain and a text/html was *always*
incorrect. Either the actual semantic content of the two parts was identical,
in which case one or the other was superfluous and should not have been sent,
or the semantic content was different - in which case one of the parts was
actively misleading to the reader and should not have been sent.
