No, a staff or faculty member vouches for individuals not associated with the University, giving the client anywhere 
from 1 hour to 5 days of access.

Nope.

> Is it a completely separate network / just internet access only? 
Hooks into the campus network, but with only minimal protocol support; HTTP/S, IMAP/S, POP3/S, IM services, etc.
