It bricks itself as far as we could tell.  It gives you a warning on the 10th try saying basically "you get it wrong 
one more time, this device is toast"

Out of curiosity, has anybody tested it to verify that they *do* destroy
themselves after 10 tries?  And if they do, is the unit still re-usable, or
does it brick itself?
