Subject: Re: [SECURITY] Student Workers on the Security Team?

We at UNM Hospitals have had students in the security department for six years now. We actually have student workers
(.4 FTE) positions in Web and systems as well. The students apply and go through the same hiring, background checks,
etc. as all employees.

HR requires them to be a senior or grad student. They have been a valuable resource over the years and many have gone
on into IT security as a career with a number of them being hired when other positions open up within our system.
