I used OnTrack as well for a friends drive who absolutely needed the
info back. Cost his insurance company about 4 grand for a 20G drive.
This was a few years ago however, so prices may have changed since
then..

I've used Ontrack (http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/) in the past when
someone desperately needed data recovery. They were good, but
definitely not cheap. I believe they can give you a very rough estimate
up front and then follow that up with a more accurate cost once they
receive the drive and understand how difficult it may be to recover the
data.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a data recovery service? I have a
faculty member needing to get data off of a failed drive.
