Doesn't Educause promote October as "Security Awareness Month" for higher ed? We are putting together a schedule for
the entire month. Is that overkill? I'm wondering what others are doing.

Patricia,

The International Computer Security day is observed on November 30th,
but there is also the Cyber Security Awareness day on October 31st. We
will be observing the November date here on campus, as are many
businesses in the Kansas City area. You can read more about it and even
obtain a free awareness poster at http://www.computersecurityday.org/.

Hope that helps,

Does anyone have a clue about whether there is, and when, a national
security awareness week or month? I've searched everyplace I can
think
of and while lots if institutions declare a week or month for security
awareness for themselves, I can't find a common or national one.
Thanks
for your help.
