Endpoint Security/Policy Enforcement Products

Does anyone out there have any experiences that they would like to share
with endpoint security products at their university?  We are currently
in the process of evaluating products from several vendors including
Sygate (SSE), Checkpoint (Integrity), InfoExpress, Senforce, Endforce,
Cisco (rebranded Perfigo product), and Citadel.

Any successes with these products in academia?  Any horror stories of
what to avoid?  This technology is relatively new (but does show a lot
of promise), so any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks, all.
