Virtual PC on Mac updates

I have had reports at RIT that Virtual PC on the Macintosh can become infected with some of the more recent worms and 
bots.  Does anyone have any writeups on
 
1) How to determine if patches are needed / How to patch the Virtual PC
 
2) How to clean them if infected
 
3) Anti-virus and Virtual PC info?
