It would seem that the lawyer would be looking to where the money is and I wouldn't expect they could find much in a 
student's pocket.

        I would be concerned that a smart lawyer out there will figure out that
        suing a student is one thing but being able to file suit against the
        "network operator" because they allowed the activity to take place or
        didn't take actions to stop the activity would be more advantageous for
        RIAA.

        Do you feel this excludes them from turning a law suit against the
        college network operators next?  Especially if they feel a college
