OK. Thanks for the plug ... I think. Here was the original message: --------
As a side note, I was using Tenable's product today. It's pretty nice! Not the fastest on the market, but a nice product nonetheless. Really easy to use, which is my main thing, since I may have to teach other people how to use it.
<veiled vendor plug> Thanks for the plug! Which product were you using? NeWT, Nessus, NeVO, Lighting, Thunder ... ? If it was NeWT, you should try NeVO. Once it is set up, it monitors your traffic for new hosts, apps, vulnerabilities, .etc. In front of a class B, this makes a big difference. If you were using NeWT, there are lots of ways to optimize the time it take to complete a scan. A lot of this is centered around port/host discovery and how you select which plugins you want to launch. The host-based checks that NeWT does for UNIX and Windows don't take much time at all either if you have credentials. </veiled vendor plug> Ron Gula _______________________________________________ Dailydave mailing list Dailydave () lists immunitysec com https://lists.immunitysec.com/mailman/listinfo/dailydave
