I wasn't proposing it as an alternative. I just thought it was an interesting historical parallel to your idea. It too involved an intersection of hashes and blind databases as a way of clouding the field of competitive authorship. You never knew if your idea was original, or if someone would provide the "key" to one of the published hashes, upstaging you.
