IMHO... IDA seems to be *the* choice for disassembling. The Windows debuggers OllyDbg, WinDbg, and SoftICE all have large followings. gdb/ddd is fairly standard for Linux/etc. sysinternals.com has some great Windows monitoring tools. On a humorous note, I heard that the MSFT WinDbg developer refers to WinDbg as wind bag. Hello All, I'm wanting to explore some new tools and to get back into the code world and that started me wondering what tools does everyone use? It would be cool to come up with a top list of debuggers, process monitoring tools and such similar to Fyodor's top security tools list. So- What are you using? _______________________________________________ Dailydave mailing list Dailydave () lists immunitysec com http://www.immunitysec.com/mailman/listinfo/dailydave
