While some employers do value them, I think if you are the type of person who would get one, you're better off having something like "Can write exploits" on your resume instead.
I'd hate to sound "cisspish", but looks like I am behind the times here. Does the above mean that security is _only_ about writing exploits? I do sometimes poke fun at various less enlightened CISSPs for all the trivia they have to remember, but what is wrong with writing a technical paper (or event a "paper", as Dave put it) on, say, forensics or intrusion detection and getting certified for it? -- Anton A.
