Looking at several Centos boxes, it looks like the Linux kernel is
getting kernel security patches about every two months. I think that BSD
is on about the same schedule.

I know that Sun releases security patches quarterly, and I cannot
remember a recent quarter that did not include kernel patches. I am
almost positive that HPUX also does quarterly patching. I seem to recall
that AIX is patched less often.
