I looked into that program a while back and am still very interested.

Also not being a programmer, many of the programs require at least 1 or
2 classes in a programming language such as C++ or C#. That is a show
stopper for me.

Subject: Masters in Information Security/Assurance

Greetings All,

I'm doing some research on the different masteral degrees available
for Information Security or Information Assurance. There seem to be
so many different options and paths available that I'd like to solicit
member feedback on the topic. Below is a summary of what I'm looking
at:

1. My goal for now is to get good comprehensive education around
relevant security topics.
2. There's a long list of NSA accredited centers listed here:
http://www.nsa.gov/ia/academia/caemap.cfm?MenuID=10.1.1.2. What's
lacking though is an objective review of each college's offering and
the cost.
3. Price of the program is definitely a factor. I'm sure I stand to
learn a lot from these programs, but are they worth the investment?

Would love to hear the feedback of other members, especially those who
have taken a masteral course.

Thanks,
Mark
