RE: CISSP Examination Practices ?

Hello,

The CISSP exam is the most abstract exam I've ever taken. The best
advice I can give you is to communicate with other CISSP's, take
practice exams, and any reading material you can get a hold of. Focus on
any area your weak in. Many people are weak in encryption.

- During the exam you should be able to identify 2 wrong answers (almost
always) for each question.

- Take your time. You have plenty of it to decide on the BEST answer.

The way I took the exam was:

- I went through each question and for those questions I immediately
knew the answer to I answered it. If I have doubts, I skipped it and
came back to it.

- On my second time through the questions I took a harder look at those
questions I skipped the first time through. Where possible, I marked off
the 2 "wrong" answers. At this point I didn't answer the question; I
only wanted to mark off what I knew were the "wrong" answers.

- On my third time trough I selected the BEST answer from the remaining
answers. This takes some time but remember you have plenty of time.

- The last thing I did was go through each question and validate my
answers. Even after the methodical process I went through there were
still a few questions I'm sure could have gone either way but I didn't
want to risk second guessing myself at this point. As a matter of fact
it was at this point I realized I had forgotten to answer a question
completely so I'm glad I took this extra time to read each question one
last time.

Good luck,
