Try Hobbit. It's a fully GPL'd remake of Big Brother. Generally more efficient than Big Brother, when it comes to numbers of servers. http://hobbitmon.sourceforge.net/ If you need it to be windows based, there's IPSentry http://www.ipsentry.com/ which is pretty basic, but works. Can anyone recommend a simple & efficient product that can run on Windows XP / 2003. Basic requirements would be - 1. To check the ping status 2. Check whether particular TCP ports are responding 3. Have a dashboard to give a quick representation 4. Must have an smtp engine to alert via emails I am aware of Big Brother, just wanted to check if anyone could vouch for a better software. Thanks, Tinu Koshy PS: If you know of a Linux based software, please do suggest that too. =========================================================== Disclaimer: The information in this email and in any files Transmitted with it is intended only for the addressee and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
