Hi All Are there any good solutions for secure file transfer in a corporate environment. This should also cater for: 1. Secure transferring of large files which cannot be emailed. 2. Allow the tranfer of these files to people on the internet. 3. There should be very little administration of accounts. 4. It should be assumed that the files are of a sensitive nature. What are the best practices for this and the security implications? Thanks in advance.
Webdav should work. It is multi-platform with drag & drop capabilities and since it uses HTTP, it can be secured with SSL and the many authentication options available for HTTP. Plus, it uses ports 80 and 443. I recently wrote a how-to that might be helpful: http://www.howtoforge.com/webdav_with_ssl_and_two_factor_authentication HTH, Nick -- Nick Owen WiKID Systems, Inc. 404.962.8983 http://www.wikidsystems.com Commercial/Open Source Two-Factor Authentication irc.freenode.net: #wikid
