RE: Example Black Lists for Windows?

It is virtually always more practical to whitelist the allowed
applications/protocols/etc than to try to blacklist the prohibited
ones.
The difference is what happens to "unknown/unrecognized". If
you whitelist, it gets blocked until investigated and blessed. If
you blacklist, it gets permitted until *detected* and investigated --
by which time considerable damage may already have been done.

Subject: Example Black Lists for Windows?

Hi all,

I'm currently building a black list of undesirable software
to block on company Windows XP machines.

Does anyone know of any example/suggested blacklists of this
type online?

I just mean things like Kazaa, Yahoo, Skype, Championship
manager, etc...

I'd be grateful for any links or advice on where to start!
