Dumb newbie question

Hi

Ok this will probably be a really dumb question to all of you but I have not been able to find an answer possibly as
there is not a correct one so I would value all opinions regarding this.

I work large international IT comapany. One of our biggest customers who is also an international comapny outsourced
all their IT needs and infrastructure to us. They have 3 sites around the country and I am based at their warehouse and
am responsible for the IT environment on the site. I and my 2 man team look after the servers, local lan and about 200
users. We dont work on the Cisco Wan equipment as that is done by our Cisco engineers although I am responsible for
ensuring that they only provide access to approved external companies etc. My main day to day tasks apart from ensuring
that my team handle all the support calls is to ensure that the all the servers and workstations have the latest
security patches, virus defs etc. I also have to ensure that our customers securrity policy is implemented by ourselves
and the users. I also help with drafting the policies in as far as it is applicable to this site. That is what I do now.

I am looking at emergrating to Australia and need to get my skills assessed. 2 of the ocupations are computing
professional - CSSIP and computing professional - network security. When they assess these they dont look at
qualifacations just at what your job was for the last 12 months. Obviously CISSP is not for me but network security
could be. The problem is though that they dont define it and it is a lot of money to apply only to find out they mean
only people who work on routers etc.

Anyone have any comments or knowledge of what they would consider network security and considering what I do, would
this fir into that category.

Thanks.
Jonathan
