I think we're closer to the day when all apps will update themselves.
Why not? As end users, we might like to think we're in control, but
that's never been the case. We should be knowledgeable about what our
options are, but if a computer can do something to save me time, I say
"go for it!"

An update, is a minor patch EX: v1.0.2 -> v1.0.3 you are talking wholey
new version as opposed to minor build updates.

I also prefer not having the browser take away my ability to see what is
bieng installed. If you would rather not see the updates, then use IE.
