Have you tried encrypting the file using i.e. AES 256 (or whichever-you-love) with a long passphrase and then using this hi-tech usb drives? (you might sleep better) You should also look for physical security to ensure the information is handed and properly delivered only to the right guys (and this means... Protect your media using secure delivery services like UPS premium service, or some employee you really trust, use some protection to avoid physical damage to the unit if it gets compromised, for example against rain/fire/hits... You know... Common circumstances) In fact... Can't you send it electronically? C-ya! -----Original Message----- From: Marty [mailto:Martin.Samson () videotron ca] Sent: Wednesday, August 09, 2006 7:21 PM To: security-basics () securityfocus com Subject: Secure USB drive Hi gang! We need to transfer data with a USB drive and I need a secure solution with encryption. I've Googled but I'd like to have feedback from the group on what's best. I've looked at: http://www.card-media.co.uk/biodisk+usb+2.htm and Sandisk Cruzer Biometric USB Drive I remember reading about another solution but.... Open for suggestions! :- ) Thanks, Marty! ****************************************** Thought of the week : You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your lips. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- This list is sponsored by: Norwich University EARN A MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION ASSURANCE - ONLINE The NSA has designated Norwich University a center of Academic Excellence in Information Security.
