Hi,

I'm curious, is there a simple way or a "shell utility" to force a
program (under MS-Windows 2000) to run in read only?

I want to make sure the program doesn't write anything anyware (Just
load and run in memory)

Virtual Machines are generally used for such purposes. You may look into
VMWare or Qemu (my two favorites).
