The simple way to do is installing a firewall using proxy arp. You only need one IP and no reconfiguration in your lan at all. All your users will no have idea that a firewall was installed. If you install the firewall with a linux box read this: http://www.sjdjweis.com/linux/proxyarp/ Greetings Salvador El mié, 07-07-2004 a las 10:33, Ognen Duzlevski escribió:
Hi, I have a basic question: we have several boxes with unique public IP addresses which are part of a big .edu namespace. I would like to put these machines behind one single firewall and still keep their names. Is it possible to have all names point to the firewall machine and then have the firewall direct the specific request to a specific box behind it?
