Hi Elihu, Not correct. COPS (Computer Oracle and Password System) is like TIGER, a tool to check for local vulnerabilities. My guess is that is could be a bit outdated for today's standards. It can be found at: http://ciac.llnl.gov/ciac/ToolsUnixSysMon.html or http://www.fish.com/cops/ Cheers, Miguel Dilaj (Nekromancer) Vice-President of IT Security Research, OISSG Elihu Smails <elihusmails2000 () yahoo com> 06/12/2004 21:20 To: security-basics () securityfocus com cc: (bcc: Miguel Dilaj/PH/Novartis) Subject: COPS scanner Has anyone ever heard of a tool called COPS. I guess it is a rootkit detection app. I have googled for it and have not come up with anything. Thanks.....
