POP3/S is a solution, but not many people support it or know how to use it. The people who do know typically are the ones who check their email via SSH and mutt anyway.
Hell, most people don't know how to set up their mail client, period... Its not that much more difficult to set up outlook or netscape to use pop3/s, the issue is that the sites don't support it... If they supported it, they'd document it and people would use it. But as was pointed out, its generally a short connection to the pop server, so exposure is limited... -G_E --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Visual & Easy-to-use are not words that you think of when talking about network analyzers.
