As I said before in my last email:

1. Proxy works fine in a windows environment. Mac clients can have issues
authenticating. Im guessing unix/linux platforms would have the same issue
as the macs.
2. Use N2H2 Sentian
3. Use N2H2 Sentian
4. The enterprise edition should be able to do that. You should be able to
load balance them too. Don¹t hold me to the load balancing claim, ive been
up for 36+ hours and have been laid off for 4 months.

I don't think anyone really understands my question (although thanks for
replies so far). Let me explain again.

I'm after a good quality proxy product that will allow me to do the following:

1. Proxy
2. Log who accesses what site
3. Have the ability to link in content filtering
4. Be able to have 2 proxy servers at different ends of the WAN but allow
users to access the remote proxy should their local one fail.

Maybe I'm posting this at the wrong place as proxy isn't a 100% security
solution. For the record I've already got firewalls and don't intend using
the chosen product for anything else. I need it to be win32 as I don't have
linux experience.

Thanks for any assistance you can give,

Dave.

I do not like it. I do not understand how anyone can use Microsoft as a
security solution. Norton and MacAfee have made billions off Microsoft
attacks, yet people still want to use it as a Security Solution. People sit
home and find ways to hack it, yet people still want to use it as a Security
Solution. I do not understand.

Subject: ISA server

Guys,
I'm looking for a good quality proxy product. I've got 2 Internet links in
2 sites (connected via WAN) and I want a product that will act as a proxy for
each site but also allow the clients to go from one to the other in the event
of failure. I know that ISA server does this as part of a Proxy array but
the enterprise version is something liek £4.5k a piece!! Way to expensive
when I'm not using the firewall side of it!
Talking of which, second question.... how do you rate ISA server as a
whole?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Dave.
