Paul,

There is a good book on how to set up Windows NT/2000 Servers for the
Internet called: "Securing Windows NT/2000 Servers for the Internet -
Security Checklists for System Administrators" by Stefan Norberg (Oreilly
Publishers ISBN 1-56592-768-0) which you can order from Amazon
(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1565927680/qid=1043887873/sr=
8-1/ref=sr_8_1/102-3534251-9965712?v=glance&s=books&n=507846).

Happy Reading!

Can somebody give me some suggestions for websites/pages for securing a
Win NT4 server which will be acting as a file server only. I would use
Win2k but Win2K and the m/b don't work together for some or another
reason.

I will already be installing SP6a + hotfixes and making sure that IIS is
not running, but what else?

Thanks
Simon

Systems Administration is the kind of job that nobody notices if you're
doing it well. People only take notice of their systems when they're not
working.
