Hello list.
I administer a high school network running W2K Pro in an Active
Directory domain.

The problem is that the users abuse the Messenger service by sending
some mischief over the network (furthermore, they even write batch
files that repeatedly flood the domain with same text).

Personally, I would be imposing low quotas and every time the machine is
then disallowed access, start teaching them why. Also let all their friends
know the machine has done it's quota for the day and why. Eventually it will
stop but not before someone gets a few beatings around the head by friends
who wanted to use it.

Greg.
