Whats the difference between the different security certifications? ie. GIAC cert vs. CISSP? Whats the different in the eyes of the industry, as well as prospective employers (if you are wanting to draw a distinction between the two).
To specifically answer your question, CISSP is management oriented. It is not terribly in depth on any particular topic but covers many different topics. GIAC is more technical in nature and requires some practical writing. I'm sure their respective web sites could give you more info. http://www.giac.org/overview.php https://www.isc2.org/cgi/content.cgi?category=19 ____________________________________________________ http://www.attackprevention.com Information Security documents, articles, and policy --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
