That was my point - it's annoying, and causes mild headaches for anyone not familiar with how the operating system - or app - parses the command line. For instance, if you want to delete a file called "CON", you just say "DEL ?ON". It's not rocket science, but it's sufficiently beyond most users that any help-desk fields numerous calls about it.
