Where exactly is this 'information' that eudora is sending? It looks to me like it is simply checking to see if a newer version of Eudora is available.
As someone suggested earlier, this may be the "ad update" that takes place on a regular schedule in the "sponsored mode" of Eduora. In this mode, all features are available without registration and payment, but Eudora will download new ads periodically to be displayed in the ad box in the lower left hand portion of the GUI display. If this process is blocked, Eudora will automatically revert to the less powerful freeware version. Cheers, RGF Robert G.
