thanks for that, eoin... we do something like that and will be looking into the 
options... the tough part is making sure that changes in the pages are taken 
into account...

on the wget ssl thing, in our environment, we had to compile wget with ssl 
capabilities... this was not needed before in our setup but is now if we're 
going to provide a method for our users to download the rules... that also helps 
with this source code pull need ;)
