Slightly off topic... direct email would be appreciated.

A corporate client has asked what folks are using to "push" MS hot
fixes and service packs to user workstations. What do you or your
companies use/recommend to update about 400+ workstations, mostly
LAN based but a very small number are remote WAN based (with either
56k or 128k links)?

Right - certainly off topic. Search www.microsoft.com for "SUS" or
"Software Update Services" as a good start. You can use group policies to
get it all done that way provided you're in a Win2K active directory
network.
