Backing what Tim has said already, the instructor is definitely the key to any security course. I have actually taken the InfoSec Institute course taught by Tim and he does know his stuff and presented in a manner that a security professional who is looking for a deeper view into methodical pen testing, will definitely benefit from. The Infosec Institute approach covers what is needed to take the EC Council tests, but doesn't follow their course work of 1000+ slides. The course is intense, hands-on, and the capture the flag exercises at the end of each day really drive up the topics covered. Dave Siles Chief Security Officer Kane County Government
