i just get an amazon box and point my namecheap-registered domains to them.
 i get root on the box so i support whatever i want, and i get my own IP.

amazon has a "free teir" that you can have for a year.  it isn't suitable
for heavy use but its a small box with a dedicated ip and root.  good stuff.
