Doing some research on the WRT54G-TM, looks like its now flashable without JTAGing it.Can these be set up as a drone? From what I've been reading its the same as the GL. Can you guys confirm this? Thanks On Sun, Mar 15, 2009 at 9:39 PM, Dimitrios Kapsalis <dimitrios at gmail.com>wrote:
Correct, a GUI isn't required for a drone, but i wasn't able to see anything that looked like a wrt54G v5 could support a drone. The flash ram and ram on it seem too small to do anything useful. 2009/3/15 Brian Seel <brian.seel at gmail.com> It supports DD-WRT atleast.http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT54G/GL/GS/GX 2009/3/15 Dimitrios Kapsalis <dimitrios at gmail.com> Well i was looking at the openwrt and didnt seem to have anything with agui for the micro edition. Ideally what i wanted to do is try to set up a drone on one of these. The more im reading and learning, seems like this unit i have the v5 won't be able to do that. Recently OpenWrt has added a nice GUI using LuCI (http://luci.freifunk-halle.net/). Check it out! All depends on what you want to do with the router... DD-WRT just makes rock solid and very flexible. They have a DD-WRT micro editionthat wecovered in the book.
