With an edge router chassis filled with 10Gbps ports for
various things, they quickly become a lot cheaper than
US$5,500 a pop :-).

I realize that this may not be a universal case.

Given the context of the conversation, I was hoping it was clear I meant a
*wet* port, not just a jack on a card...
