If you are a medium sized ISP, you are in the awkard stage. Stick with the simple stuff until you have a good reason to change to more complicated methods.
It seems like it might make sense to use the 'big boy toys' as a small provider so that we make it through the inevitable learning curve where mistakes (while potentially devastating to us) have little possibility of causing major problems for everyone else.
