And unlike the EU, each state of the United States is basically its
own country - with the federal government there to handle disputes
between the states and the states with foreign countries. That said,
each state has a Constitution and a Supreme Court. There's a reason
prostitution is legal in Nevada and not everywhere else. There's a
reason poker has been legal in California so long.

there are no black and white answers in this world - and you don't
sound young enough to have to explain that to.
