I'm having a bit of a nightmare at the moment trying to block these two applications with a pix, does anyone know how I can do it?
Here is how I have been blocking it with a little help from my proxy vendor. kill *.msgr.hotmail.com kill *.messenger.hotmail.com kill svcs.microsoft.com/svcs/mms kill with http header content type of "x-msn-messenger" It has been effective for me. Not all firewalls will be able to look into layer 7 to check the headers though.
