Hello,
What is the opinion of the list about allowing pcanywhere across a vpn connection to control some NT systems. I am not comfortable, but getting a lot of pressure in allowing that through the firewall.
It depends on a number of things: 1. VPN technology used - are you comfortable with it? 2. Where the people using PCAnywhere are - are they in a secure environment? Do you trust them? If any of these questions have the answer no, then you can consider those NT systems being controlled as potentially compromised and might try to keep them in a DMZ (that's what we do).
Thanks In Advance. - Deepak
