I've been in about 50 and have yet to see one. I have seen reaction, but more at a government (entity) level. But, never strike-back, it is usually a response of the wire-cutter type. Maybe the definition of "strike-back" includes blocking that host at a router or firewall. I don't think most of us consider that "strike-back" though. At 10:53 PM 6/15/99 -0400, Marcus J. I can't imagine that the legal departments of a single FORTUNE 500 firm would be so negligent as to bless such activity. Nor can I imagine that anyone with a reasonable security background would be so stupid. The only place that I've seen that (never at a customer site) was in a particular hype-ridden article that was promulgated based on an interview with a well-known industry hypester.
